When you have got the National Dex, if you have a Gameboy Advance Pokemon game (FireRed, LeafGreen, Ruby, Sapphire or Emerald) you can find new Pokemon based on what game you have in the other part of the DS. These Pokemon's locations are not shown in the Pokedex however. These Pokemon and there evolutions are only available through this method. Although some pre-evolutions are found naturally in the game.
